Woodburned Cedar Alaia
The alaia is a traditional Polynesian style board. Without fins, the rider relies primarily the on feel of the rail grabbing and releasing into a slide. Even for experienced surfers, surfing an alaia is a difficult but very rewarding task.
This alaia is made of curly Western Red Cedar and has been woodburned with a surfing Walter design. This board was built, shaped, woodburned, glassed, sanded and gloss coated at Le Garage by Greg Melega. 5’10 x 19”
