Longboard Camp

This small group class will cover the skills and training techniques required to be proficient in longboarding, noseriding, and gliding.

Riding a longboard is where a lot of people start their surfing, and quickly move on to smaller and lighter boards. Yet learning to wield a big log teaches you how to control and maneuver a board on the wave in a far different capacity than on a smaller board. This will seemlessly translate to smoother surfing on your other boards.

Over the two day course, you will learn and experience:

  • how different longboards and fins behave and why they are shaped that way

  • to assess your current skills and create goals to advance your longboarding

  • surf sessions with coaching and photo analysis

  • cross training techniques and recovery skills

  • how to read and approach selecting the correct wave and positioning to cross step, trim, and noseride

$500+tax per person, 4 person maximum. Must be 18 years old and up. Bring your own longboard or one will be provided for you. Surfing photos will be sent to you after the final day of camp.
